    Is this from a book, an article or something else? I’m unfamiliar with author but agree and like the way she said it.

    It’s a quote from the book, Bird by Bird, which is a book on the writing life. It’s the first book I’ve read by Anne Lamott, but it makes me want to read more of her nonfiction/memoirs. You can learn more about her from the following article:
