I’ve been doing quite a bit of baking for various events these days. For Easter I made a delicious Lemon Cake. My friend Abby had made it when we had been at her house and she sent me the recipe. I’d made it once before and new it would be perfect for Easter.
For a bridal [...]

Duncan and Owen just finished their last jar from World Baby Foods. They were a gift from my good friend Jessica. I love the concept: organic baby food based on multicultural cuisines. How cool is that! From Tokyo Tum Tum to Baby Dal, the boys loved it all. It makes a great baby gift!

It was just before the Passover Feast. Jesus knew that the time had come for him to leave this world and go to the Father. Having loved his own who were in the world, he now showed them the full extent of his love. John 13:1b
And how does Christ show the full extent of his [...]

Owen seems to have the more dramatic personality. He’s more of a Mama’s Boy, although, he’s also the explorer. He’s all about chasing the cat right now. When the cat walks into the room, his eyes light up and off he goes! And off she goes!
I love his big smile and bright eyes.
This is more [...]

Duncan has a pleasant and independent personality right now. He really gets into playing with his toys or whatever else he gets into. (They’ve been breaking things recently too: a coaster and a little figurine.) He really seems to be interested in the details longer than Owen is.
Although blurry, this picture is just so precious [...]

Exersaucers are more fun to play with from the outside, these days. Both boys got underneath themselves. Then Duncan (in red) got stuck and couldn’t get out on his own!
Boxes are fun too! Josh took them on a little pre-bedtime ride one evening and they loved it.
The above picture’s a bit blurry, but I love [...]

What is it about a new hair do that makes you want to toss your head like one of those models in a Pantene commercial? I don’t know, but it’s spring, and it sure feels good to try something new.

Saturday we had our friends Zac, Trina, Jason and Elisa over for fondue. I’d never eaten fondue, although I’ve always wanted to. It was a blast! It was good food and company. Jason and Elisa brought some fabulous drinks. We especially loved Boordy Sangria and I adored the Fiore L’Ombra. I made Rachael Ray’s Classic [...]

Mark Driscoll has a way with words. His writing is fresh, engaging, funny, and in your face at times. I just finished The Radical Reformission: Reaching Out Without Selling Out and could hardly put it down.
Josh read The Radical Reformission first, and I’ve never heard him laugh so hard while reading. I was eager [...]

Yep, I caught myself singing about poopy while changing one of the boys diapers the other day. I sing to them all the time. I just make up whatever comes to mind or that relates to what we’re doing. I’d say I sing to them as much as I talk to them. But sometimes I [...]
